- SCKETCH -TO- STRETCH:
It is a strategy developed by Harste, Short, & Burke, (1988). Students draw quick sketches to stretch their thinking and understanding of concepts. This technique can be used in a variety of ways.
The "If I were" strategy was added here to create characters and write about them.
I have used this technique with some of the students of Foreign Language teacher education in their research and practicum year in order to promote taking risks in class too. Some of them have also used it in their classes.
